Biker-Mate to be developed internationally
Biker-Mate, the motorcyclist-friendly cushion crash developed by Euro Road Safety, is to be deployed internationally after an agreement was finalised for distribution in a number of countries.
The passive safety system, which attaches to objects such as lamp columns and road signposts to absorb energy and divert the force generated during collisions, is being distributed in a number of companies by a new partner company, Green Town SRL.
The Italian company, was awarded distribution rights for a 12 month period. Biker-Mate modules will now be made available within Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus and Brazil. Green Town will also be distributing Biker-Mate within Italy over a two year period.
UK distribution of Biker-Mate will continue to be carried out in partnership with England-based firm Sign Post Solutions.
Biker-Mate test results validated by BSI
In 2012, BSI visited Euro Road Safety to carry out witness testing on the Biker-Mate product. The aim of the testing was to confirm the energy absorbing capabilities of Biker-Mate.
BSI have now finally completed their report and ERS is delighted to confirm that the results achieved were better than ever before, showing an absorption rate of 60-68% when Biker-Mate was utilised.
The auditors commented, “This verified that Biker-Mate can absorb a large amount of energy, thereby potentially reducing injuries to the motorcyclist on impact. Biker-Mate was also successful in the deflection of the dummy as witnessed during the test.”

Parliamentary Group
Made by Britain is a project of the APMG, (Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group) designed to address the reputation problems facing the manufacturing sector. All 650 MP’s have been asked to find a product that is manufactured in their constituency today. The objective is to draw up a diverse and comprehensive picture of contemporary British history. Great Exhibition 2012
Julie Benson CEO, Founded the Great Exhibition Co UK Ltd and launched the great exhibition 2012 when Britain was announced as the winner to host the Olympics. She wanted to capture the desire to celebrate Britain as a whole and to highlight all its achievements whilst we have the eyes of the world upon us. She wanted to ensure that all aspects of British life were catered for and that the British public had their say. Intertraffic 2012
